Obituary for
Steven Alfred Bales
Steven Alfred Bales, age 50, of Glade Spring, Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
Steven was the son of Ramona Ann Bales and the late James “Jim” Bales. He was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and a member of the Glade Spring Life Saving Crew.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Bales; sister, Patricia Anne “Patti” Hutton; and one niece, Natasha Dawn.
Survivors include his mother, Ramona “Anne” Bales of Glade Spring; two brothers, Bobby Bales and wife Lisa of Glade Spring, Bill Bailey of Bristol; one sister, Angela Bussey of Glade Spring; two nephews, Gabriel Nelson and Jonathon Bales; four nieces, Nickie Mann, Alice Bussey, Kristan Bales, and Emily Bailey; and several great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Alice Bussey and all of those who cared for Mr. Bales.
The family will receive friends at Frost Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2018, from 5 p.m. until
7 p.m. with the service following at 7 p.m. with Brother Danny Owen officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at Knollkreg Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 1 p.m. Those attending the graveside service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Glade Spring Volunteer Life Saving Crew, Glade Spring Fire Department, surrounding EMS agency.
