Willie “Bill” Marshall, 78, of the Large Hollow community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 16, 1938, in Russell County, Va., to the late Marvin Harold Marshall and Lexie Ruth Marshall. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his step mother, Myrtle Irene Marshall. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in his garden. He attended Swartz Chapel Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Alma Ruth Marshall; three children, Rita Delphine Muncy and husband Ralph, William Edward Marshall and wife Shanteau, and Russell Harold Marshall and wife Angie; 11 grandchildren, Christy Beeson, Buddy Muncy, Stephen Lino and wife Sarah, Devin Seals, Peyton Seals, Savannah Seals, Abigail Marshall, Noah Marshall, Michael Muncy, Marie Cox and Shannon Cox; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Rollie Marshall; one sister, Mary Sue Helbert; step sister, Nancy Shanks; step brothers, Estil Peck, Lee Peck, James Peck, Claude Holloway and Curtis Peck; and his constant companion, Shadow. He is also survived by special friends, Tiffany Lino, Scott Seals, Brandon Widner, Jeremy Bolen, Larry and Karen Mumpower and numerous other friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry “P.T.” Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Ingle Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
