Obituary for
Lorena Mae Gill
Lorena Mae Gill, age 78, of the Caney Valley section of Washington County, Va., went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 27, 1938, in Washington County, Va., to the late Claude and Annie Pippin. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Eula Stroups. She was a lifelong farmer and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Doc Gill; and one son, Michael Gill and fiancé Missy of Bristol, Va. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the caregivers and the Danny Gill family for all the care that was shown.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. Graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Danny Gill, Skylar Gill, Mac Wagner, Carlyle Hobbs, Ethan Cox and Mark Hobbs.
The family will be gathering at the home where friends may visit at any time.
