Ruth M. Rodefer, age 84, went to be with the Lord January 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was a resident of Washington County Va. her entire life. She was a librarian for Washington County Library for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Preston T. Rodefer.
Survivors include son: U.S. Airforce RET. SMS Charles A. Rodefer and wife Barbara; one grandson: U.S. Army SFC Travis A. Rodefer and wife Annett; one granddaughter: Virginia A. Orfield and husband Mitchell; and four very special great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Friday, January 27, 2017 at Sinking Spring Cemetery with Pastor Gary Harless officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Washington County Life Saving Crew and/or Abingdon Fire Department.
