Jerry Allen Silcox, age 56, passed away October 15, 2016, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Jerry was an avid golfer and a lifetime fan of the Carolina Panthers. He was the founder and co-owner of Highlands Petroleum of Abingdon, Va.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents: Eddie T. Silcox and Gaynell Prater Silcox.

Survivors include wife: Anita Bailey Silcox; two daughters: Madelyn Silcox and Sophie Silcox; step-son: Adam Blankenship; sister: Sandy Silcox Aven; brother: Jimmy Silcox; two nieces: Whitney Aven Scyphers and Kristen Silcox Presley; nephew: Eric Silcox; one special great nephew that brought great joy in his life: Brycen Scyphers; and life long friend who was always there for him: Jimbo Cordle.

Services for Mr. Silcox will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers the families ask that donations be made out to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
