Obituary for
Mollie Briscoe Knott
Mollie Lee Briscoe Knott, 75, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 7, 1941, in Washington County, Va., to the late William Jennings Briscoe and Janie Sue Rush Briscoe. Mollie was raised in the Green Spring community where she attended Green Spring Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bowler and also enjoyed working puzzles and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Janie Lynn Briscoe.
Survivors include three children, Cindy Knott Bullington (Jerry Thomas) of Chilhowie, Va., Michael E. Knott of North Carolina, and Ronald J. Knott (Norma) of Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Becky Bohannon of Sevierville, Tenn.; two brothers, Bill Briscoe (Judy) of Abingdon, Va., and Beau Briscoe (Hanna) of Abingdon, Va.; five grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Logan, Brittney and Brianna; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Frost Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Knott, Brandon Bullington, Justin Bullington, Logan Bullington, Josh Jessee and Mark White.
