Obituary for
Amelia "Millie" Nunley Trent
Amelia (Millie) Nunley Trent, age 94, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 4, 1920, in Washington County, Virginia, a daughter of the late David Campbell Watson and Carrie Bowers Watson. She lived most of her life in the Abingdon area and worked for Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company for many years. She was currently employed with Dutt and
Wagner of Virginia with 29 years of service. She was a member of Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church and of the Burley Twilers Square Dancing Club of Abingdon.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Richard Rush, Harold G. Nunley, and Robert L. Trent; two sisters, Louise Watson and Virginia DeBusk; and one brother, James (Jim) Watson.
Survivors include one daughter, Myra N. Stout and husband James on Bristol, TN; two sons, Gary F. Rush and Michael Rush and wife Joyce, all of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Kristie Roark and husband Shane, Kevin Rush and wife Sarah, and Lisa Counts and husband Greg; five great-grandchildren, Gracie Roark, Phillip Roark, Josie Rush, Gaelen Counts, and Conner Counts; one sister, Katherine Gullion of Orlando, FL; one step-son, Bob Trent and wife Becky of Abingdon; step grandchildren, Aaron Trent and Kevin Trent; three step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 8:00 P.M. at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers and Shane Roark officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until time of the service. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M.
