William David Young, Jr., age 88, a resident of Glade Spring, VA died Friday, February 28, 2003 in Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Duffield, VA. He was the son of the late William D., Sr. & Ella Young. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Young of 64 years, and wife Virginia Buckles of 7 years, and a son, William David III. He was a member of the Planning Commission for Washington County & Mt. Rogers. He was a past member of the Board of Directors for the Washington County Fair & Burley Tobacco Festival.

One son & daughter-in-law, Roy P & Elaine Cockerham Young of Granite Bay, CA
One daughter & son-in-law, Mary Ella & Samuel R. Steele of Gloucester Point, VA
Four Grandchildren
Three Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services for William David Young, Jr. will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday, March 3, 2003 in the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev RJ Cullop & Rev. Jerry Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Waldon Deel, Charles Blevins, Ray Duncan, Darryl Mays, Harold Crouse, Jerry Mays. Honorary Pallbearer will be, Tom Taylor. The family will receive friends at the Campbell Funeral Home from 6-8 Sunday evening.
