Jewelene Gillenwater, age 72, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon, Va.
Ms. Gillenwater was born April 23, 1945 to the late George and Beatrice Kestner. A lifelong resident of the area, Ms. Gillenwater attended Valley Street Baptist Church.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Billy W. Gillenwater, Sr.; and step-son, Billy Wayne Gillenwater Jr.
Survivors include daughter; Teresa Ann Gillenwater Smith; three sisters, Betty Kestner Foran; Sarah Kestner; and Mary Kestner Gobble; three grandchildren, Brandi Gillenwater; Terry Kolling II; and Destiny Cheyanne Smith; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dr. Paul Umstott. Also, a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Grace Healthcare.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in the Forest Hill Memory Gardens.
