Rosa Lee “Rose” Riffey, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 02, 2018, at Valley Healthcare in Chilhowie.

She was born September 19, 1943, in Washington County, Va., to the late Austin Watson and Cora Lee Watson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Riffey; one brother and one sister.

She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and attended Alvarado Bible Church.

Survivors include her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Josie Riffey, Joyce Holmes, Loretta and Gary McCray, Katie Blevins, Ruth and Douglas Day, Sharon Thomas, Charlotte and Terry Denton, Bill and Linda Riffey and Allen and Marilyn Riffey; special niece, Patricia Smith and husband Steve and their family. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Valley Healthcare and Wythe Hospice of SWVA for the care given to Rose.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Washington County, Va. Animal League.
