Willie Mae Belisle, 85, of Abingdon, Va., died at Grace Healthcare Center on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, after an extended illness.

Mae was born April 24, 1932, and was preceded in death by her parents, James T. (Bud) Belisle and Minnie Frances Wyatt Belisle; and infant brother, Paul Belisle; brother, Charles Belisle and sister, Elizabeth (Libby) Kirk.

Mae was a lifelong resident of Abingdon and a charter member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Abingdon.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Belisle and wife Debbie of Abingdon with whom she made her home. Mae assisted in raising nieces, Sarah Belisle Rysewyk (husband Phil) and Rebecca Belisle Brewer (husband Joey). She is also survived by her great nephew, Clay Brewer and great nieces, Emily Brewer, Casey Ann Rysewyk and namesake, Ella Mae Rysewyk; and sister-in-law, Monika Belisle; special cousins, Carolyn Reynolds and Linda Belisle; niece, Jenny Carmack who assisted with her care, also friends, Barbara Hunt, Karen Ornduff and Charlene Phelps. Mae also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to the staff of Grace Healthcare for their loving care of Mae while she resided there.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor David Crowe officiating. Committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the mausoleum at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Family and friends may gather at the mausoleum after 1:30 p.m.
