Abingdon, Va.

Joseph Carl Bryant, 70, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Bryant and Molly Louise Moore Bryant; and an infant brother, James Alan Bryant.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Susie F. Bryant; children, Sandra Rowe and husband David and Jason Bryant; grandchildren, Suzanne, Denny, Nathan and Joshua Rowe; sisters, Marie Hicks, Janie Piper, Barbara Roark and Gail Self; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks to his sister-in-law, Ellen Bellamy and her friend, Raymond Hurd for helping during his illness.

A committal service with military honors will be held at 1:45 p.m., February 1, 2018 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, 53 Memorial Avenue, Mountain Home, Tenn. 37684, with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery entrance at 1:30 p.m.
