William Ottway Booker, age 59, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 20, 1958 in Abingdon, Va., to the late Garnett Yeldon Booker, Sr. and Margaret Virginia Galliher Booker. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Garnett Yeldon Booker, Jr.

William was a graduate of Fort Union Military Academy and a former employee of Pittston Coal Company. He was the owner of the historic Moonlight Drive-In and a past member of the Washington County Life Saving Crew.

Survivors include one aunt, Carolyn Galliher Woolwine of Richmond, Va.; two uncles, Ralph "Buddy" Galliher of Abingdon, and Jerry H. Galliher of North Tazewell, Va.; friend and caregiver, Thelma Blake; numerous beloved cousins and many friends.

A private service for family members will be held with interment to follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park.
