Delcie Cathelene Boyd
Delcie Cathelene Boyd, age 88, of Abingdon, Va., went to Heaven at Broadmore Assisted Living in Memory Care on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
She was born June 28, 1929, in Russell County, Va. and was preceded in death by her father, James Luther Boyd on March 15, 1973, and her mother, Artie Marie Whited Boyd on February 7, 2004.
She was a graduate of Honaker High School, class of 1945. She was a former resident of Richlands, Va., and was an employee of the Postal Service at Raven, Va., for over 38 years. She was a member of Abingdon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her brother, Dallas Parson Boyd and friend, Jerry of Dana Point, California; one niece, Susan Boyd Wallace; one aunt, Vivian Boyd of Swords Creek, Va.; several cousins. She is also survived by her adopted family, Don and June Hagy and many friends.
A special thank you is expressed to the management and staff at Broadmore Assisted Living for their loving care of Delcie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Countiss officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the services at the funeral home.
