Obituary for
Jack Edward Kent
Mr. Jack Edward Kent, age 27, passed away on August 24, 2017 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 20, 1990 in Abingdon, VA and graduated from Abingdon High School where he played JV and Varsity Basketball. He attended Virginia Highlands Community College and was of the Baptist Faith. Jack loved children and was more like an uncle to his younger cousins. His favorite pastime was to watch movies and drink Mountain Dew. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Dorothy Browning and his Paternal Grandparents, Jack & Becky Kent.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tom & Carla Kent of Man, West Virginia; Maternal Grandparents Carl and Joyce Browning of Amherstdale, WV and Surrogate Grandmothers Bonnie Grimmette of Man, WV, Danith Miller of Marlinton, WV, and Susan Marvin of Marietta, OH; A very special cousin that was like a brother to him, Joe Waters II (Angie), Beloved Aunts: Susan Llioyd, Jacqualine Bott (Billy), Dottie O’Quinn, Kelli Adkins (Scott), Stephanie Donahue (Patrick), Kellie Maynard (Dennis), Cousins Tara White (Jason). Adam Johnson, Quinton Johnson, Sam Adkins, Ana Adkins, Candence Waters, Quinn Waters, Charlie Donahue, Benji Donahue, Bentley Donahue, Luke Maynard, Noah Maynard, Lacey White, Gemma White.
Very Special Friends Jeremy Steelnack (Mary Beth), and Michael Quesenberry; Dr. Tim McGarry Family, Larry Carroll Family, Steve Sierchio and Pam Sigmon were very significant in Jack’s life. Jack was loved by numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. Phil Blevins will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Sunday at the Frost Funeral Home. A service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. on Monday. August 28, 2017 at the Becco United Baptist Church in Man, West Virginia with Pastor P.J. Tomblin officiating. The family will gather at the Becco United Baptist Church on Monday at 5:00 P.M. and visitation with the family will be held at 6:00 P.M
