Billie Compton Thomas
Billie Compton Thomas, 79, of Ladson, SC, passed away August 10, 2017, with her family by her side.
Billie was born in Abingdon, Va., on March 28, 1938. She was married to Bobby J. Thomas for 63 years. She was dedicated to being a wife, mom, grandmother and friend to all.
She was preceded in d eath by her parents, Clarence Compton and Annie Compton Jackson and three brothers, Steven “Wannie” Compton, Jack Weaver and Cecil Weaver.
Billie is survived by her husband; two daughters, Peggy Wood and Lorrie Smith both of Thomasville, NC; one son, Billy J. Thomas of Hookerton, NC; one granddaughter, Kristina Riehle and husband, Mike of Thomasville, NC; one great granddaughter, Winter Riehle; one brother, Joe Weaver and wife, Dorothy of Bristol, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 14, at Frost Funeral Home, Abingdon, Va. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Entombment will follow in the Serenity Garden Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Weaver, Mike Weaver, Bobby Wise, Lynn Hallman, Donnie Weaver and Sammy Jackson.
