Linda Holmes, age 62, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 13, 1955, to the late William York and Della Barnett York. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Gregor.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife who loved her grandchildren dearly. Above all, she cherished her family most.
Survivors include her husband, James Holmes; two sons, Lee Gregor and wife Connie, and Jimmy Gregor and wife Melissa; two step-sons, James Holmes, Jr. and wife Benita, and Brent Holmes and wife Mary Leigh; one sister, Sue Schrader and husband Steve; two brothers, Billy York and wife Bonnie, and Steve York and wife Vicki; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Billy York officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Gregor, Lee Gregor, Devin Gregor, Jamie Holmes, Brent Holmes and Ethan Gregor
