Gerald John Michalski, “Dawg”, 62, of Saltville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 26, 1955 in Lorain, Ohio to Andrew Michalski and Mildred G. Michalski.
He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Michalski as well as one brother, Jim Michalski.
He worked at U.S. Steel in Lorain, Ohio for 17 years. He was also an avid tattoo artist. After leaving Ohio in 1992, he made his home in Virginia and worked at Universal Fibers in Bristol, VA.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marlene Michalski; mother, Mildred Michalski; 4 children, Ricky Sweeney, Shawn Kinder and wife Stephanie, Jeri Michalski, and Heather Michalski; one brother Richard Michalski; 5 grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Auburn, Jabari, and Ryleigh. Other survivors include son-in-law Jason Robinson and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Mr. Michalski will be held at a later date.
