Thelma Marie Johnson Rominger, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Williamsburg, Va.

She was born in Bristol, Tenn. on April 20, 1929 and was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey C. Rominger.

Thelma lived most of her life in Bristol Tenn. and Abingdon Va. in the Washington County, Va., communities of Alvarado and Green Spring. Thelma was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and took great pride in her family and home. She retired after many years from the Raytheon Corporation in Bristol TN.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Howell, husband Jud of Richmond Va.; Evelyn Gresham, husband Sam, of Tulsa, OK and Juanita Johnson of Abingdon Va.; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 10 to 10:45 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. A burial will take place at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
