MEADOWVIEW, Va.
Hunter Dale Parris, age 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Parris was born November 18, 1938, in Washington Co, Va. He worked for Necessary Oil Company where he was a truck driver for 45 years before retiring.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma McCray Parrish; and one son, Richard Neely.
Survivors include one brother, Buddy Parris and wife, Ann, of Abingdon, Va.; one sister, Katie Murray of Abingdon, Va.; one step-son, Gary McCray and wife, Valerie, of Meadowview, Va.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Paul Stanley officiating. Family will receive friends and family from 2 p.m. until time of service on Sunday, April 30, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home. A committal service will follow after the service to McCray Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be men of the Abingdon Moose Lodge.
