Obituary for
Louise Anderson (Owens )
Louise Owens Anderson, age 87, of the Black Hollow community, Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, January 6, 2017, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.
She was born June 29, 1929, in Washington County, Va., to the late Newborn Henry Owens and Nancy Jessee Owens. She lived her entire life in Washington County and was a farmer. She attended Woodland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Anderson; six brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Glenn Anderson and wife Connie of Abingdon, Va.; two grandsons, Aaron Anderson and Stacey of Bristol, Va., and Brad and Katie Arnold of Bristol, Tenn.; two great grandsons, Collin Anderson and Brady Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Caris Healthcare and their staff, Miranda Johnson, Tomie Jo McCracken, Jennifer Thompson and Mark Morgan for the excellent care shown to Mrs. Anderson. They would also like to thank special friends, Shelby Hoss and Peggy Doss for all the love and care that was given during this time.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob McCormick and Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 8, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brad Arnold, Bill Childers, Roger Bailey, Cowboy Odum, Aaron Anderson, Carl Cox, and Freddie Caudill. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Woodland Baptist Church.
The family will be at the home of Glenn and Connie Anderson, 15833 Black Hollow Road, Abingdon, Va.
