GLADE SPRING, VA
Alta Testerman Yarber, age 90, went peacefully to be with the Lord on September 6, 2016.

She was born and raised in Grassy Creek, NC, and was a lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church, in Lansing, NC. She was a retired seamstress from Natalie Knitting Mill in Chilhowie, Va. She is preceded in death by her parents, Winfield and Ella Blevins Testerman, seven sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Junior B. Yarber; two daughters, Angelia Marchant of Abingdon, Va. Ella Ratcliffe of Abingdon, Va.; two grandchildren, Matthew Ratcliffe and wife Heather, of Abingdon, Va., and Nathan Marchant of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and several nieces and nephews. She also was survived by her loving pets, Coton and Bobbi.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Va. with Pastor Tim Norris and Caleb Norris officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends at the graveside and at 18529 Woodland Hills Rd, Abingdon, Va.
