Trula Fields, 83, went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

She was employed for several years with Statzer and Stout Cafeteria in Abingdon, Va., and later at Duff’s in Bristol, Va. She was an avid flower lover and loved all kinds of animals, but most of all she loved the Lord. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carless and Lucy Fields; sister, Kathleen Childers; brothers-in-law, Elmer Childers and Buddy Leedy; and nephew, David Childers.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Rogers of Abingdon, Va.; two sisters, Tiny Bumgarner and husband Ben of Lebanon, Va., and Rosellen Leedy of Abingdon, Va.; a special nephew, Chris Leedy of Abingdon, Va.; nephews, Doug Musick and Allen Musick; and nieces, Tammy Miller and Deborah Musick.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating.
