Mr. Harry Iredale Jr., Age 89, a resident of the Friendship Community of Washington County, Virginia since 2003, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2007. He was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1918 to the late Harry Iredale Sr. and Kathryn Keller Iredale. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances Clara Brown Iredale of Goochland, Virginia. Mr. Iredale was a veteran of World War II and served in the Aleutian Islands as part of the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. He was an industrial plumber for Ford Motor Company and the Boeing Company and retired in 1981 to Manassas, Virginia. He was very active in the Ruritan Club, Senior Bluebird Travel, Grace United Methodist Church, and the Senior Bowling League team the Prime Timers.



He is survived by a son, Harry Iredale III and his wife Dawn of Fairfax Station, Virginia.

One daughter, Clara P. Straten and her husband Joseph of the Friendship Community of Washington County, Virginia. Two brothers, Joseph Iredale and his wife Dorothy of Philadelphia, PA, William Iredale and his wife Mary of Ocala, Florida. Two Brother-In-Laws, A. Thomas Brown and his wife Venna of Goochland, Virginia and John R. Haden also of Goochland, Virginia.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Harry Iredale Jr. will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas, Virginia. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
