Issabelle Patton VanLear
Isabelle Patton VanLear, age 92, a resident of Clover, South Carolina died Thursday May 5th in the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She was born in Konnarock, Virginia and was employed by the Wytheville and Manasses, Virginia School Districts as a teacher. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, Virginia and was a graduate of Madison College.
She was preceded in death by her parents William S. Patton and Nannie Isabelle Patton and her husband Michael VanLear.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Veasey & her husband Edward of Clover, South Carolina. Susan Waters of Marietta, Georgia; Two grandsons Michael Waters & Garland Veasey; Two sisters, Dr. Evelyn Daniel of Louisa, Virginia and Mrs. Vance Hicks of Falls Church, Virginia; One brother, Dr. Charles Patton of Great Falls, Virginia. Memorial Services will be conducted on Sunday May 8, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. at the Oakdale Presbyterian Church in Clover, South Carolina. Graveside Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Knollkreg Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Tolar officiating. The family will receive friends at the Campbell & Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. Monday. The family extends an invitation to meet at the Campbell & Frost Funeral Home to go in procession to Knollkreg Memorial Park for the 10:00 A.M. Graveside Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Presbyterian Children’s Home of the Highlands, Inc. 425 Grayson Rd., Wytheville, Virginia in memory of Isabelle Patton VanLear.
