Mr. Robert Lewis Ivey, age 88, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida, with his daughter by his side.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Ivey was a 32nd degree Mason and was also an active Shriner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having proudly served in both World War II and the Korean War. For the service that Robert gave his country he was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lucille Odum Ivey; and a son, Roger L. Ivey.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Ramona Ivey and son-in-law Mike of Jacksonville, Florida; He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, in the Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum with Mr. Joe Scroggins officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard. Friends are asked to gather with the family at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Frost Funeral Home and travel in procession to the cemetery.
