Margaret S. Vaught, age 85 of Glade Spring, Va., passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 9, 1927, in Saltville, Va. a daughter of the late Walter R. Smith and Virginia Gentry Smith. She will be remembered as a very dedicated lady who loved the Lord, her family and her church. She was a member of Byars-Cobb United Methodist Church in Glade Spring, Va.

In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by one brother, Edward Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert L. Vaught of Glade Spring, Va.; one son, Dennis Vaught of Abingdon, Va.; one daughter, Sharon Adair and husband Moe of Bristol, Va.; three brothers, Tom Smith and wife Sadie of Glade Spring, Va., Miles Smith and wife Betty of Saltville, Va. and Danny Smith of Saltville, Va.; one sister, Patsy McNew of Glade Spring, Va.; three grandchildren, Mark Vaught and wife Mary Lewis of Abingdon, Va., John Vaught of Abingdon, Va., and Kellie Schmidlin and husband Kyle of Concord, North Carolina; one great granddaughter, Riley Hart of Honaker, Va. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2012, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Va. Family and friends will be gathering at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for the service.

Pallbearers will be Charles Byrd, Jerry Ferguson, C.W. Repass, Kyle Schmidlin, Mark Vaught and John Vaught.
